Mitsuho Yoshida (Official name: Hiroshi Yoshida) was born at Kyoto in 1916. In 1930, he became a pupil of Sekiya Ukei, studying the art Yuzen dyeing. He became an independent Yuzen dyeing artist in 1936. He was elected to the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition in 1964, and continued to show his work at the same exhibition afterword. He later became a member of Nihon Kogeikai (Japanese Art Craft Association), and won the Excellence Award at the 8th Nihon Kogei Association Dyestuff Exhibition in 1971. He died at home in Shiga prefecture on December 29, 1986 due to myocardial reasons.
